FaceBook Beats MySpace!

The popularity of social networking websites is soaring impressively during past couple of years. Various Social networking websites like Facebook, MySpace, Friendster, etc, are significantly adding huge number of subscribers every passing year, a study from online metrics firm, ComScore, revealed.

These websites together added 25 percent members worldwide during past one year, whereas only nine percent of US residents have signed up to any new social networking website.

Middle East and Africa together registered a remarkable growth of 66 percent, and as many as 34 percent Europeans have added to the social networking websites in last one year.

Among the prominent websites, Facebook holds the top spot with 153 percent growth in past one year, and is continue to lead the segment since April 2008, followed by MySpace that has achieved only 3 percent year-over-year growth.

Citing the worldwide rising recognition of social networking sites, Jack Flanagan, Executive VP of ComScore said in a statement, “While the social networking trend first took off in North America, it is beginning to reach the point of maturity in the region”, but, it is growing rapidly in other parts of the world.

Lindsay Lohan Turns Gay?

Lindsay Lohan responded Friday to her recent outing by Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton.  Earlier this week, Bratton said “Lindsay Lohan has gone gay.”

Spotted by paparazzi at Los Angeles Airport while boarding a flight to Chicago, 22-year-old Lohan and galpal Samantha Ronson were asked how she felt about being outed by Bratton.  Ronson kept quiet but Lindsay responded saying, “Police, you shouldn’t get involved in everyone else’s business when it comes to their personal life. It’s inappropriate.”

A video of Lohan’s comments shot by the paparazzi was posted on TMZ.com.

Bratton’s remarks about Lindsay were made earlier in the week in discussion of a proposal before the LA City Council to regulate paparazzi. He said “there are currently on the books sufficient laws, rules and regulations” and blamed celebrities for much of the trouble.

“Since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving; Paris is out of town not bothering anybody anymore, thank God, and evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don’t seem to have much of an issue,” Bratton reportedly told KNBC-TV

Samsung i900 Omnia iPhone Clone?

The most talked about phone nowadays is the iPhone. Apple is really getting it’s way into the gadgets and technology industry lately. The iPod, iPhone and MacBook’s are getting everybody’s attention.

But enough said about Apple. Behold, the Samsung i900 Omnia! Some say it’s a clone of the iPhone but whatever it is, it surely looks sleek and cool. Samsung i900 Omnia will be displayed at the CommunicAsia expo held in Singapore from June 17 to 20 but all details about its specifications are already made public. The shape dimensions of the phone is some what rather similar to the iPhone with a waistline of 12.5mm and a metallic back.

For those camera freaks or those who just love snapping photos, do not fret, the Samsung i900 Omnia comes prepared with a 5 mega pixel camera which is more than enough to clearly show the blemishes on someone’s face. Most importantly the i900 shares with the iPhone the same massive internal memory - both an 8GB and a 16GB i900 versions will be available with the microSD still present for further expanding those with up to 16 gigs worth of storage.

It’s a relatively well connected device with 3.5G capabilities and Wi-Fi support. Entertainment features include a built-in FM radio, multimedia player and stereo Bluetooth. So far, I’ve listed all useful features that I know about this phone and I think the features of this phone is by far one of the best phones to be released this year. If I get the chance to try the Samsung i900 Omnia, I would definitely write a more detailed review on it.

Angelina Jolie Expecting Twin Babies!

Angelina Jolie has checked into a hospital in the south of France where she is expected to give birth to her twins, a hospital spokesman said Tuesday.

Nadine Bauer, press attache for the Lenval Hospital in Nice, said Jolie is fine and that everything is going well. She said Jolie’s admittance to the maternity wing had been planned for some time.

Bauer said the 33-year-old actress will almost certainly remain in the hospital until she gives birth. She said Jolie was admitted so she could be kept under normal surveillance — and is not expected to give birth immediately.

Bauer said Jolie was admitted recently but wouldn’t say exactly when. “There’s no urgency. It’s been planned for a long time,” she said. “She’s very well. Everything is fine.”
Jolie has said the babies are due in August. She and partner Brad Pitt have four children: Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2.

The Brangelina clan has been settling into a new home in the south of France. They recently moved into the Miraval Estate villa in the French hamlet of Correns, in the Provence region.
